  • Do I need to bring dishes to the boarding kennel for my pet?
We provide stainless steel dishes for your pet's food and water. By using our own dishes it makes it easier for us to clean them daily without having to try and remember which dish belongs to which guest.

  • Should I bring my own food?
This is entirely up to you. We have dry and canned food available. If your pet is on a special or specific diet, we would suggest that you might want to bring your own food. We would appreciate it if you would label your food with your pet's name.

  • How often you feed your guests?
Depending on our guest's normal routine, we normally feed our guests once or twice a day.

  • Can I bring toys for my pet?
Yes, you can bring a toy or two for your pet. Please use some discretion in selecting the toys that you bring so that your pet cannot chew it into small pieces. Please note that we cannot guarantee that the toy will be returned to you as toys sometimes get missed placed or mixed up when we are cleaning the pens, especially outside pens.

  • Can I bring some bedding for my pet?
We have bedding at the kennel for your pet's use. However, if you wish to bring your own bedding we request that it be washable, so that if it becomes soiled we can clean it. Also please note that sometimes pets will chew their bedding when in a kennel. If this happens, for safety reasons, we will remove the bedding.
  • Is you kennel heated and air conditioned?
Yes, it has a forced air heating system for winter and air conditioning for the summer.

  • I have two or more dogs. Can they stay together?
Yes, we have double sized pens for just this occaison. When booking please let us know if you would like them boarded together or separately. We get requests for both types of arrangements.

  • What should I bring in when I board my pet?
First you should ensure that your vaccinations are up-to-date and we have a record of your pet's latest vaccinations on file.
Secondly we require an emergency number or contact, in case we need to contact you on the care of your pet.

  • How can pet owners reduce the stress for themselves and their pet while they are boarding?
    1. Bring up-to-date vaccination certificate.
    2. Provide an emergency number where the boarding kennel can contact you or an emergency contact if you are not available.
    3. Allow time to drop off your cat or dog and provide any information such as ailments, medications, etc.
    4. Label food, bedding and anything else that you may bring with you for your pet if possible.
    5. When you say goodbye to the pet please be happy and matter of fact. If you are concerned so is your pet.
    6. Allow kennel staff to take the pet without you to their pen. This way our guest does not think that he/she must protect the pen. You are more than welcome to come with the kennel staff to get your pet from the pen when it is time for them to go home.
    7. If your canine or feline has not been boarded before you may wish to kennel them for a night or weekend or two prior to a long stay to ensure that they have some time to become accustomed to the new environment and caregivers.

  • Can I have my pet walked while they are staying at the kennel?
Yes, for a small charge there is a walking service available.
